Jet, you can tell if rotor is warped easy enough, just slip the caliper off and vise grip a screw driver tip against the rotor and turn the wheel (a makeshift dial indicator) and u will see if rotor is warped. If wheel turns free u will know its the rotor or it is possible the rotor is a little warped and caliper is sticking a little of which u may get by with just a little maintenance. Otherwise you can change just the rotor and paint the existing wheel, the back wheel doesn't show to much anyway. My fan kicks on when temp guage hits the 1/2 way mark and stays on till temp drops back to about 3/8 on guage. If a used scooter has had care and routine maint, it will show in its apprearance. If the appearance is not pleasing to the eye chances are they didn't take care of it mechanically either. Be learing on this one. Use your gut feeling. You don't want to spend a decent amount of money on purchase and then spend a lot more in repairs. Scooter Professor forum has a great list of places to obtain parts for these. Have fun!! My dash also has a green lite that comes on when ever my fan is on. Barnie

Thanks guys! Yeah.....the rim looked like it was in round, but never checked the rotor. I was chased out by a thunderstorm that was approaching, so I didn't get a real good look like I would have wanted. They are asking $1000 but there is no way I can touch that request by the way she looked. She just needed too much work on her.
