[replyingto=jjoshua20213]jjoshua20213[/replyingto]So you're saying maybe the valves? Yes I've thought about that also.Only thing though, it's like someone is standing there with a 5 gallon can of gas pouring it in. I'll check the valves before I buy another carb.

Only thing though, it's like someone is standing there with a 5 gallon can of gas pouring it in. . That sounds like a float valve stuck open. You don't need a new carb dude just a rebuild kit. The carb body will out last your scooter and its replacement's replacement.

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]I'll try that, I put a lot of quality parts in this scoot last year.It should have ran for a good long time without this happening. Just makes me P.S. It almost sounds like savatage to me.

UPDATE!!! Set valve lash and it's great! Checked spark and it's hotter than a firecracker! Checked compression and it blew my finger off the spark plug hole! Cylinder flooding with lots an lots of gas! Only one thing left, Carburetor! Anyone agree???

Yep have a good look at that float valve
Actually you'll want to pull the bowl off and hook up a fuel line while the float assembly is still in there. Then push the float up and blow through the fuel line you shouldn't be able to. As you move the float from its seat to open you should feel the air you're blowing start and stop.

The float is working, now to find out why it's sucking so much gas?? something internal in the carb.? Also when I have the carb. off I can spray a couple shots of starter fluid in the intake and it fires right up for a couple seconds. Put the carb. back on an it wont start. It starts to flood the cylinder.

Sounds like your petcock has failed and is allowing gas to come down the vacuum line into your intake manifold.

[replyingto=gatekeeper]gatekeeper[/replyingto]Yes I have been thinking of that myself, I'll try a new petcock. They don't cost a lot of money either. Wish me luck!!

[replyingto=gatekeeper]gatekeeper[/replyingto]You were 100% right! I never knew that could happen, always thought when one went bad it would flood the carburetor.
