So I've been trying to get this scooter of mine up and running for a while now. I actually had a moment of triumph getting it to start and run, but now it wont idle at all.
I did a lot of research and set the guages to .004, as well as adjust the idle mixture. Nothing seems to be helping. It still is very scetchy when I get it to start, the rpms like to shoot up and then come back down till it cuts off again.
I did notice just yesterday that when I start it theres a very large spark that seems to be coming from the wire that attatches to the cover where the guages are located (I'm still new to this whole scooter thing, I'm not really sure what its called). Any idea what could be the problem?
Also I looked at my buddys scooter which is similar to mine (I have a 2007 peace sports, he has a new 2013 vip) and noticed that there were two wires that attached to the screw that holds on the cover to the where the feeler guages are located, (sorry again) when looking at mine i noticed that it only had one wire going to it. I believe this may be part of my problem...but as I said before I don't know much and am not even sure what these wires are or what purpose they serve. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
