how do you tell when the 1/4 throttle is rich or not, with it on the stand and pulling back the throttle? is there a test. tell you what i done. pulled it back, and seems it revs too quick, doenst want to rev. so, i slowly pulled the htrottle back, around 1/4 throttle, it starts to rev fast. so i pulled the choke. it was back to revving how it was, about oh a 1/16 of an inch back on the throttle, pulled back. so, should i richen 1/4 one step? dellorto phbg.21

Mark 1/4 throttle on your twist grip. Put in a fresh plug. Ride at that throttle position on basically level road for 2-3 miles. Cut engine and stop quickly. Check plug. Look for medium/+ brown color. Adjust carb settings (pilot circuit influences this throttle opening a significant degree) and recheck plug if color on first check was off. Otherwise, good acceleration w/o a lean waaa or a rich, soggy blubber is proper fueling.

no. tell me how cani tell by listenning. go past 1/8 throttle, then start to listen? for a change in the motor sound? for it to increase in rpms? because before that its sucking out of around the needle, and between the atomizer for fuel? and whatever comes outof the pilot? like, i can tell when i got it there. your saying, just rev it till there, then pull the spark plug out. you ever think people strip spark plugs dogni that? whatsa better way. like, how about how it affects with 3/4 throttle? like how it goes from after1/4 up to openning the throttle? is there another way to tell?

I just edited this where it still makes sense. I'll make this real simple, I thought I had the words used here censored so they wouldn't come up but I spent so much time doing all the abbreviations of the word I missed the correct way to spell it.
This is a forum where you can ask for free advice, suggestions, and opinions. You don't have to agree with the answers and have the right to question anyone's answer.
But in according to the rules here you don't have the right to use profanity. Sometimes people can get a little lets say irritated with each other when discussing a subject and as long as it doesn't get totally out of line tolerance is given up to a point.
But there is zero tolerance for profanity not only by this forums rules but by the software provider Proboards.
I hope you find a solution to your carb problem but keep it clean or go elsewhere if you want to talk like that.

Did someone say you can do a plug chop at 1/4 throttle to see what the sccots doing at that position??
I think i may be too rich in that 1/4 position but want to keep the slight rich condition I have at WOT. I have no way of raising / lowering the needle.

From the way you describe the problem your to rich turn the AIR RATIO screw on the right side of the carb near the AIR INTAKE COUNTER CLOCKWISE to LEAN it out. This type of carbs are very touchy on the AIR SCREW so just turn it 1/8 at a time doesn't take much to effect the mixture. Alleyoop

I have adjusted these types of carbs hundreds of times you just have to follow instructions, It is not rocket science. Yours isn't anything special thousands of scoots have the same carb but you have to get your hands a little dirty and help yourself and do it and not just complain. It is not going to fix itself. I am just trying to help you but it appears you have an attitude problem so good luck with getting it fixed maybe someone else will help you. Alleyoop

Why don't you tell the forum here how many times you've been banned from other scooter forums for copping an attitude and posting vile photos and language, mileage. You're nothing but trouble and you'll be gone soon from here as well.

Can we block this moron already?? Ally you are a wealth of knowledge and have helped me tremendously here and on other boards as well. This clown, with all his attitude will probably be on the losing end of a cager trying that attitude on the road with his scoot...if he can ever get it running!
