Desperately seeking stock 139QMG long case gears!! Bought a used 2012 4T Scoot. Guy put super tall short case gears in this long case engine. I am sure the gears would even be too much for the 10" tires..cause with these 12" tires it barely takes off...clutch slips for the first 25-30 feet since the ratio is so high. It feels like starting your car out in 2nd or 3rd gear.Can only rev up to 5,500 barely hitting 40mph unless going down a nice steep hill. Uphill it drops to 30 or less as the clutch slips and really heats up. HELP!!! I want stock long case gears...this is really straining my crank and clutch...  |

You might get some temporary help by installing lighter rollers in your variator. I found with my Xingyue 150 that 13-gram rollers act almost like your gear situation, but 12-gram rollers were way too light, running the engine up to near 6K rpm at only 45 mph. With some luck, you might find lighter rollers could be ideal with your present gears.
Worth a try for sure!

The gears are just insanely high..the 5's gave slight better take off...but engine rpm's still could not climb. The gears he installed come out to a 30% increase on my PC 's calculator!  |
