I ordered it Friday, it came the next day at 3pm  Eagle didn't say it was used, but it is  Reguardless its what I wanted minus the pink muff tip. My bike doesn't sound like its going to vibrate apart whyle accelarateing threw the topend now, its as smooth as glass now! I couldn't be happier. Well if the mounting brackets fit, I would, but that's it. I got metal zip straps holding is steady and had to do some southern enginering to keep it from viberateing but I did it and it actually kinda looks cool with all the bling on it. I couldn't of found this exhaust without yalls help, thanks Millsc! $  total, its probably a $300 pipe brand new. Itt was made for a Taotao GT5. Here it is! |

Does anybody kno where I can ger a replacement muffler tip for this? Would a 2t work? Or is it gona mess up the dynamics of how it proesses the gasses?

For $ I got over it pretty quick tho. If I could figure out what these style pipes are called I could figure out a brand new price, but I'm cool with it still. I kno I've only found one 2t pipe like this for $100 and that's without shipping. |

I kno I've only found one 2t pipe like this for $100 and that's without shipping. So was mine, and my little "stinger" muff is sorta "pink" too... Supposed to be red, but a tad faded... LOL! Heck, at least it matches the faded red screen in my fan-cover scoop! Decades ago when the technology was new, these were called "expansion/contraction chambers". I see one on eBay from England listed for a 50cc 4-stroke, and they call it an "expansion box".I do KNOW what you're talking about with the smooth running! Sounds like yours is running as well as mine! My tired old Xingyue 150 LOVES it! I was fortunate that my junk-shop system was stainless-steel, so "no paint required"... But if yours isn't as pristine as you'd like, just give it a careful working over with a "green-pad" and then a nice, smooth coat of high-temp flat black (preferably VERY-high-temp) like exhaust-header paint... and it will be very, VERY slick! And durable. Enjoy that great system! Leo (still 2-strokin' my 4-cycle) in Texas PS: For mount clamps, I just re-purposed (as in beat into submission) my original muffler mounts. A BIG vice and a BIG Crescent-wrench and hammer did the job, and was great exercise! I also re-used the original rubber (?) in the mounts. The taper on the chamber does present ah... "challenges"... but nothing American hammer-engineering can't fix! |

Ive got that same exhaust on my jonway yy50qt30. nuthin wrong with the little pink can... It woorks better than the muffler on most other chinese 50's and quiet too.

With absolutely NO baffles anywhere, these exhausts are incredibly quiet, and run great! From idle, to around 4,000 rpm, mine is actually QUIETER than the original muffler! WOT it's only slightly louder than stock, and not at all unpleasant. I think we may have started something, using these on 150's!Ride safe, ride quiet, go like stink! ... Leo |

Done right, the expansion part "pulls" an extra fuel-charge clear through a 2-stroke cylinder, then, the contraction part rams it BACK into the cylinder for a true supercharging effect. On our McCullochs it sometimes nearly DOUBLED our hp. Of course, those were running over 20K rpm... We discovered way back then, that one of these on a 4-stroke actually "pulled" the exhaust out, effectively scavenging BETTER than any muffler, and even better than a straight-pipe. My explanation is surely not scientifically-correct, but that's the basics we discovered back then. These are MIRACLE-WORKERS on 2-strokes, but still are VERY good on 4-strokes. "Lil' Bubba" is never going to run like your gourmet spaghetti-burner... He runs on low-budget chop-suey... But it's running about as well as it's gonna... LOL! Leo, so when you bent the straps and put them on, you couldn't use a a socket wrench could you? The headder is in the way. I guess you probably used a crows foot or the like?
