I cant stress enough that you should always use whatever locks you have when ever your scoot is left unattended
Both times that my scoots where stolen i neglected to use mine and payed a high price

i'm a bit lazy when it comes to locking up my bicycle so i am certain i will skip the lock often with my scoot. at least with this device you could leave it under the seat and set the alarm so the pager goes off.
i assume that would work, that is my plan for it anyway... hmm, now that i think about it i wonder if i can find a cheaper pager system that i can store under the seat. guess it's back to searching.
