So if you pump the throttle several times it start but then dies. I will assume your carb has a pump on it on the RIGHT SIDE of the carb the side that the throttle cable is attached to. Now that you adjusted the valves, it now appears the problem is really fuel delivery. So lets try 1 simple test to verify IT IS FUEL not being sucked into the intake. Here is a picture of the intake and a VACUUM hose connected to it. Take that vacuum hose off wherever it is connected to on the other end. Get a cup and put a teaspoon of gas in the cup squeeze the cup making a point. HOLD the vacuum line up and pour the gas into the VACUUM HOSE do it goes directly down into the intake, then connect the hose back up and try to start it. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE. It should fire and even run and then probably will die. BUT that will prove that NO FUEL is being sucked into the motor. Let us know if the results then we can move on to finding the CULPRIT of lack of fuel. Alleyoop
