How does temperature control the open and close of the enricher? A couple of weeks ago I had some drivability issues and tweaked with the af mix. Coincidentally thats when the temps got higher and over night lows are only in the 70's so i dont know if its something I did or not. BTW it ran great first thing in the mornings when it was in the 40s and 50s.
I fixed the sputter issue but now it bogs a bit first thing in the morning even though it is warm out. after a mile or so when i take off its smooth. Im thinking the enricher is allowing too much gas untiil it warms up. Why is it even enriching at these temps anyway?
Or ive set my af too rich in general and the enricher is allowing the mix to be way overboard now. I have no clue.

the enrichener starts to work only when the scoot is running it gets power from the voltage regulator it has a gel in it and it heats up pushing the needle out and shuts the fuel off.
you can check it by taking it out leaving the wires connected put your finger over the hole where the enrichner was and start it after a few minutes it will start to extend it will extend approx 1/4in
Hope this helps

Once fully Extended it completely blocks the fuel opening and no more extra fuel is feed to the engine. Once you shut the engine off the Plunger will Retract as it cools and it will be ready for the next cold start to allow extra fuel to the engine.

The way it looks like to me the temp doesnt have any thing much to do with it. It comes on when it gets voltage and doesnt shut off.
its not like a choke in a car the enrichener lets gas in while cold then the enricher extends the needle to shut off the extra gas and it just keeps heating the gel in the enrichner till you shut it off and the gel cools then it all happens again

So We get extra fuel even if its not cold once the scoot cools off?

Yeah you get that extra gas smell even if its not cold. Just posting this picture for the of it... how some of the scooter works.

The gel is going to be a tiny bit more expanded to start with when it is warm out, and since it is already at a higher temp to start with it is going to take less time to fully expand and shut off the enricher.
