i have a taotao 150 fairly new and it has started making alot of noise coming from the back tire area, sounds like bearing noise to me...squeaking and rattling, and its getting worse. i just started a job that requires about 50 miles per day driving and really cant afford to break down so someone please help me and tell me what the problem is, if its a bearing where can i get one and what is it called?..rear hub bearing? my scooter only has about 100 miles on it btw.

its a tao tao... probably empty. those scoots need to be gone over 100% by a pro to even begin to trust it for 50 miles a day. if you need to drive that much, you might want to see about getting a honda or other japanese scoot

And when i say pro, i mean someone who is experienced enough to notice potential problems, ive seen all sorts of problems with taotaos, brake lines rubbing tires, things falling off, missing parts probably from poor PDI but i dont trust anything anymore without checking every nut and bolt myself!! if i had to ride that far id at least get a kymco or SYM built machine.

Hi I use 75/ and if theres any damage itwould be to your rear differential gears I would recommend doing a full pdi asap if the scoot has never had one, checking the gear oil is part of a GOOD PDI x1scooters.com/pdi.htmlTake care and ride safely Yours Hank

HiI If you spin the wheel by hand where is the noise coming from? and does it spin freely or does it take a sufficient amount of force to move?, check that your rear brakes are not binding or rubbing Take care and ride safely Yours Hank
