I took the rubber intake off that the carb attaches to and dont see a gasket. There seems to be a spacer between the intake tube and the motor but no gasket?

Im pretty sure there should be one. All of the scoots I have taken apart have had gaskets.

They sometimes use a O-ring instead of a gasket. But there ought to be something there though. The O-rings aren't all that good as a gasket in this location. The O-rings seem to deteriorate pretty quickly, usually by getting hard and loosing their seal. I have used some silicon gasket sealant there too.

Mine was messed up and the spacer was cracked I took out the spacer and used the red silicone and a Q-tip I always use them better than getting it on you but you can get into places you need but put the silicoe on bolted the carb on let it set for awhile and no more problem
