Hi all,
I have a 2008 Yamaha X-City 250, which uses a single turn signal relay for all blinkers, and has no hazard switch. I recently changed the headlights to HID, which may or may not be relevant to the problem. Also recently (although not exactly the same time as the HID upgrade), my turn signals started acting funny. All 4 blinker bulbs work and are stock, as is the relay.
The issue is that they blink slightly slower than they used to, and when I hold the brakes, one side stops blinking and stays in the ON position.
Would a new blinker relay fix this? If so, what's the best to get (I see Tridon EL12 coming up a lot in searches)? Also, is a certain type the best (electrical, mechanical, thermal, etc)? I don't plan to use LEDs FWIW.
Thank you for the help!
