Hey rider guys n' gals!I KNOW a whole bunch of you "have a Jones" for a real, original, minty "clutch n' gears" Vespa 150... Well, while searching eBay for parts for my "Lil' Bubba" I came across this seller. I harvested the pix from the THREE restos he had listed. The seller says he's been restoring vintage Vespas for 25 years. The listings show EVERY item new or restored, from all engine internals to the exterior paint. If they are anywhere near the quality they appear to be, these scoots would be a major treasure for the purist. They are selling for around $3,500 average, and that sounds pretty sweet for a new-condition total resto... Any enthusiast considering spending near $4,000 for a new scoot might want to consider one of these vintage-tin pieces of nostalgia. No pandas with these... Guess you'd have to "Fear the Linguini"... LOL!Leo (lovin' that Italian tin) in Texas PS: The seller is in California, so I don't know if or how he gets them registered there.

Be careful folks. There are some "restorers" out there from Vietnam that are notoriously bad. Oh, they look great in the photos, but they are mostly bondo and paint.

Well maybe, but I'll stick with my plastic paneled "Chespa" for now.

Chespa....... Best one I've heard of today.... They do look like some fine rides tho. By the Buy, do you have a link in case someone wants to check them out and drool?

Chespa....... Best one I've heard of today.... They do look like some fine rides tho. By the Buy, do you have a link in case someone wants to check them out and drool? These aren't mine... I just found them on eBay. You can search for scooters from this fellow on eBay by searching under "vespa.restorer". Or just search for Vespas. There aren't many listed. One of these three sold, and two didn't meet the reserve. They will surely get re-listed. His past listings went for around $3,500. This seller claims to be in California, been restoring Vespas for a quarter-century, and does the work himself. Hopefully they are NOT the Viet Nam-built poor quality scoots, but caution is always in order. Leo
