Ok so I ordered a 50mm bbk from scrappy and I was wondering what the compression figures would be for it with a stock head. Is it acceptable or too high? I am looking to gain more low end torque not top speed

I used the stock head on mine and it gives alot more compression no problems yet. I also didnt use a base gasket i used silicone the thick gasket they gave me from Scrappy didnt give me enough clearance for the timing chain

Why would you put two gaskets on it? Gaskets are met to only use one.

two gaskets for clearance or to lower compression, 50mm kit with stock combustion chamber needs an extra gasket for clearance.

[replyingto=ej132]ej132[/replyingto]It's more then a gasket, it's also a shim. Differences in manufacturing tolerances etc, make it to where sometimes you need a little more or little less space to make everything work right.

Just make sure your cam lays down in the groves if the opposite end of the cam not the gear side if it sticks up after putting chain on the cam something is wrong my problem after breaking 3 chains was the gasket they sent me it was a thick one like one on a car after i found the tin gasket everything went together properly. So far no one else has had this problem. MILLSC said it could have been from it being a peace brand

i think its the peace brand two gaskets wouldn't work with my friends scoot, it was a no go the cam would't seat right, we aborted the mission

we actually fixed it yesterday, he bought gasket material from autozone .70mm thickness used one gasket and stock head, its quite speedy we made our own gasket
