Good ol' GORT gets my vote... HeHeHe... "Clatu Verada Nicto"... or something like that... How can ya' beat an 8' robot that melts Jeeps and speaks his own Pig-Latin dialect?
Of course, ya' gotta give ol' "Robbie" from "Forbidden Planet" some points for making home-brew... Even if he was a little "less than Macho"... LOL!

I can give you the directions for building your own Robot from Lost in Space....
My vote has to go with Gort, too. I mean, seriously. He melts stuff with his eye-beam-laser-thingy. He's huge. He doesn't have any irritating tendencies towards whinging. He stands there waiting for the next weapon to melt. OH YEAH!
