Well, a Harley it ain't... But I still love "Lil' Bubba". My ride is SO typical, not much different from everybody else's Chinese scoot... But, DANG! These are a LOT of bike for under a grand!2007 Xingyue Eagle 150... Mostly stock, with a Mikuni carb/UNI-sock filter, high-perf. "Blue" CDI, Bando coil, iridium plug and all the typical replacement items like fuel lines, petcock, removal of air-pump, etc. All mods were made simply for improved reliability/drivability, or to just replace a part that was plain no-good from the factory... It came in really nice black & silver metalflake, with the trunk, disk-brakes fore and aft, remote start and believe it or not, an ACCURATE speedo AND tach. Will wonders never cease?I just installed a Prodigy variator and modded CVT belt cover which don't show in these year-old pix. Now, I need to replace the exhaust too, and will update pix when I'm done... It will now do 59 mph, and cruise at a "loafing" easy "putt-putt" rpm clear up to 50+ mph. I truly LOVE that Prodigy front belt-squeezer! It's been fairly reliable for five seasons, and considering it cost me only $697 delivered to my door... I'm a happy camper. No Hog, but Lil' Bubba's still the darling of the local Wally World parking lot... AND, the local 12-year-olds, and senior-citizens think Bubba's really badazz... LOL! What more can an old geezer ask for from the Chinese "Workers' Paradise"?... LOL! Sure beats WALKIN'...Ride safe, Betty & Leo in Texas

You're right, the paint scheme is both striking and beautiful. Here's to your next 5 trouble free years!

You're right, the paint scheme is both striking and beautiful. Here's to your next 5 trouble free years! Thanks! True, the Chinese make square wheels, oval tires, self-dissolving fuel lines, self-cremating CDI's, wobbly frames and self-destructing mufflers... BUT... They SURE know how to lay down a show-quality, mirror-polish coat of lacquer! Heck, they've been doing it for a couple of thosand years!Early-on, a guy on a chopper told me he thought the paint-job was worth the cost of the scooter! Not too shabby! Wax-on, wax-off...Leo

Leo Please don't take this the wrong way, but you are a character. (albeit a VERY funny one at that.) and a fan of Oriental Lacquer ware? No offense taken... I guess I am sort of a character... The kind of guy who'd be likely to put a thumb tack on the seat of the electric chair... I've seen and experienced a LOT of unpleasantness over the last half-century, and I try to always see some humor in things. And quite honestly, there are a LOT of humorous things out there... It helps choke down some of the garbage the world tries to shove down our throats... LOL! At any rate, laughter is always good medicine. Helps keep you more in-balance. You can't be TOO depressed if you're having a good laugh... Keep smilin' and have a chuckle on the OldChopperGuy if you can! And yeah, I do like that Chinese lacquer ware. I don't have any, but I sure like the quality and handwork! Reminds me of the nicest custom bike/car paint jobs! Not even the finest paint on Vespas or top-end Asian scoots and cycles can beat the appearance of the paint on some of these inexpensive Chinese scoots. Leo

Very Nice!! I hope my scooter looks that good after 5 yrs! It can... "Wax on, wax off... Wax on, wax off" Keeps the scoot bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and hones those forgotten Karate skills... HeHeHe... My REAL secret? The local coin-op car wash!Leo (waxin' off) in Texas... Ah, wait a minute, that didn't sound quite right... Well, whatever...

keep on scootin' C'mon Terrilee, ALL scoots get divits... That's what BONDO and rattle-can paint is for... I've gotten downright dangerous with such things... HeHeHe... and, strategic-placed decals work too...And don't worry, these things seem to weather 2 years time better than we do. Cheesh, I hate getting old. It makes me feel well, OLD!If "Chrissy" gets TOO banged up, just pull the plastics and make her into a Ruckus-Rat-Ride! "Nekked" scoots are very cool!Leo

are you in the panhandle part of Texas they got some snow there No, fortunately we're right at the D/FW Airport, between Dallas and Fort Worth. The panhandle gets some AWFUL weather! Summers here hover around 98-105 and winters seldom get below freezing. When it DOES get cold though, we SUFFER... Nothing here is built for cold weather, but once in a while it dips down into the teens. FALL and SPRING here are FABULOUS! "Southern CA weather". I spent my youth in Chicago, and after a whole lifetime of living "all over" I'll take 100+ over below-zero any day... Stay warm! Leo

I'm in (as Arnold would say) "The great state of Kollie-four-knee-ah" California?Heck, most EVERYBODY wants to live in California... Although like Texas, you have most EVERY kind of weather, depending on what part of the state you live in. I spent some time in San Diego, and that was about the best weather I've EVER experienced! I'll bet you get more riding days than most of the rest of us! Enjoy! Leo
