I havn't heard of anybody putting the 275 or so cc cylinder kits on their 257cc Linhia powered scoots. Doe's anybody know of any threads on this subject matter ? Such as any noticeable performance gains and such ?

Nope, haven't heard of anyone here or on the other two popular forums that have put on a BBK on their 250s. Alleyoop

Thanks for the headsup Alley. Well, If I can find a cheap Linhia 250 that's burned up or something that's what I'll do. Make my own 300. I'm a little to big (248 lbs) I need those little extra cubes. And the 250 mileage should still be there.

I have been doing a little reading on the bbk on the cn250 and it seems it just is not a improvement, the linhai might be different.

I wonder what most 300cc china bikes have in their engines.

I am pretty sure the "300's" are the linhais. I think it is closer to that 275cc kit than really a 300cc scooter.

Yes , I am talking about a kit with a larger cylinder, piston and rings for the Linhia 257cc powerplant. It really doesn't make the motor that much bigger. 18ccs of displacement, same stroke even I think, And most of all same head. If the head isn't any bigger and flow more it probably Doesn't make any noticeable extra HP. . Or maybe there is a noticalbe gain ?

Right on JIM, they all start from what they say are 250cc motors and just bore them out to whatever they want. Alleyoop

The 300's are actually 276cc Roy So does that extra 21cc make it faster?
