I keep getting PMs about the UNI This is a old example because now my scoot is tricked out to high heaven but this was my first mod thought I would share. So I rigged up a performance air filter on a stock intake. What I have is a UNI two filter on my stock 2007 mc 54 250B Intake pipe. I had to literally rip the intake pipe off the plastic cover that surrounds the regular sandwich air filter. They seemed to have glued the intake pipe into the plastic turtle like cover at the factory. All I did was get a screw driver and rip off the glue and pull the stock intake pipe through the plastic intake turtle cover thing. I am using a 51mm air filter. I had to shave off the plastic lip on the stock intake to fit the new air filter. All I did was get wire cutters and eat the lip of the stock intake pipe. (It may seem like the filter is slipping off but it wont! It has never for me even after I take it off to clean it and put it back on ever 2 thousand miles) I then connected stock air intake pipe to carborator (did nothing with that) and my new air filter to the other side of the modified intake pipe. There you go folks! A little air pollution line was connected to the stock air filter but i just tucked it up over a few other electrical lines.

I thought all scoots need an upgrade in jet size when doing this mod?

I thought all scoots need an upgrade in jet size when doing this mod? I upgraded my jet later on but you can run this with no jet upgrade to the carb. I did it for 3 thousand miles no stalling, no extra heat to the engine, idled fine.

How do you like the noise? I went back to the stock air box because of that.
