Yo yo! Athens, GA man here. New to the forum. Got reeeeally tired of Reddit's scooter sub with all its "new scooter owners" posting pics of perfectly functional brand new Tao Tao's and very few people giving good advice.

I'm (hopefully) near the end of quasi-rebuilding a 2009 50cc 2T TGB Key West that I got for $160. It's been almost a year and a of a ride due to the fact that I knew almost 0 about automobiles before I started. Here's what's been done:

- new air filter (DIY tube to carb)
- cleaned carb
- removed small BB from oil pump
- new hoses and gas cap
- new kill switch
- new handlebar switches, grips, ends and mirrors
- new taillight and blinkers
- custom license plate
- replaced throttle cable
- added cig lighter and phone charger
- decoded some really wonky post-factory wiring
- replaced ignition coil, main switch, turn relay and starter relay
- new horn
- DIY alarm system
- fans

Yet to come:
- secret kill switch
- lights inside seat bucket and over carb
- sound system maybe
- big bore
- new muffler otw
- kick stand kill switch/alarm
- new stator

Really glad to be here. I've got the bug and forums are the only antidote.
