Ok I was testing the stair voltage for the lights, the 3 pin connector. And it's jumping around and not giving a good reading. There's only 2 wires on the stator side of the connector, and 3 on the side that goes the the lights etc... The green wire is the one that's not on the engine side. No ground wire? Or is it behind the flywheel maybe? I'm gonna order a flywheel puller.
Here's a link to the voltage reading on the stator. Bad ground? Or bad stator?

Anyone have an idea what this is? I'm about to order a new stator and just rule that out.

If this video is you on your machine and if your measuring the stator lighting coil output then, your meter is set to read DC volts and it should be set to read AC volts. Magneto stators are alternators and output AC.
Also it makes a difference if you are measuring the stator output only with the plug disconnected or the stator/rr circuit inline with the plug connected.
Your stator ground would appear to be a chassis only (no wire). Confirm by metering a bare spot on the stator base (scrape through any varnish for the test lead) to a chassis ground point, battery - , starter ground, etc.
