OK... So it brings back memories of 50 years ago... I know... I'm incorrigible HeHeHe!
Only thing wrong here is it's a 125, not a Harley and the illustrator painted the guy smaller than the gal!

Now UncaLeo, you of all folks should know about perspective. Plus the guy is sort of hunkered over leaning around to try to see her face.
What gets me is she's wearing strappy heels. Heels, to shift a motorcycle? Egads! I don't typically wear my heels just driving my car, and it's an automatic.
Sadly, if a bike manufacturer ran this ad today, it would be a photo rather than this delightful painting. Something to be said for the old days.

Reminds me of a movie poster from that era.

THAT is a big old zaftig gal... LOL! No spike-heels wile you drive? gosh, how 'bout the BLINDFOLD? This must be an Italian market ad from the forties, judging by the girder-fork, but then the gal shaves under her arms... Maybe an American illustrator imported for the job... EEEEWWW!
You're certainly right about today's ads using photos... I used to do these swell illustrations. LOTS cheaper to use a free intern with a camera than pay for 75 hours of professional illustration... Sad! Spring's here! So enjoy, and RIDE SAFE! Leo
