Btb, that bad dog was maybe 5 pounds wet. I think it was a Maltese, or some mix thereof. Nasty little brute though. Pulled off its muzzle and almost got me, then almost got the groomer when she came around. She pulled it out of the tub cause it just kept lunging at us. Ended up literally hanging it while it spun itself in its fury, frothing and snarling and snapping. Few seconds of hanging suffocated it just enough to become manageable, at which point she got the vet to dose it. We pretty much hosed it down, swiped soap along it, hosed it again, done with the monster. And talk about the poop flying

Say, I actually thought of your Flying Squirrel last night watching Pawn Stars. Some guy brought in his collection of VERY early motorcycle racing--when the tracks were wood and the bikes were, well, bikes. The guys were saying how it took courage, skill, and a whole lotta crazy to do that. And how they'd strip down to their skivvies to be as light as possible. Which reminded me of tiny little Jan's racing. I sure wish I could've seen her fly! That kind of insanity was REALLY common from the 1920's to 1950's and still not "uncommon clear into the early 1960's. Can you imagine kissing the ragged board track at 100mph nearly "nekkid"? Even after a half-century, I still cringe a tad thinking about the little squirrel potentially doing the same on asphalt at 139mph. The only memories left of her are that time-slip, and an old, cracked fifties helmet that I painted her name on. She didn't even have a helmet at the time of the race... Again, common foolishness of the period. Evel Knievel would fully understand... Great memories though... THAT race is one I REALLY wish I had a picture of! She looked better than "Old Blue" and that bike was a show-stopper! Guess I'll have to post a couple more old memories one day... Like "Iron Mike" and the cesspool... Old age is getting hold of me, and I remember things from 60 years ago, better than yesterday... LOL! I'm still hoping I can get the old mouse running for this riding season... Not many left for her or me. Ride safe... And save the "nekkid rides" for the boyfriends! LOL...
