Corn can be made into ethanol, which is a fuel - quite macho, IMHO...

Corn, because the English people wouldn't eat it. Theyfed it to livestock back in the colonial days.

Ah, well... Gotta go with CORN. It makes into some mighty fine likker… and THAT probably has promoted more than a few "wild oats" to be sown. EEEEWWWW! And, the COBS get recycled as substitute fanny-wipes, replacing the Sears & Roebuck catalog in select rural outdoor facilities! THAT is pretty macho in itself!

I have read that in the old days, sheep stomachs were used like lunch boxes in the Brittish Isles. You just tie a knot in one end, put your lunch in it and tie a knot in the other end.
