Just finished my bbk upgrade and I'm wondering if I can get away with the factory 24mm carb or if I should step it up into CVK or something. Annnnnd go!

on the stock motor you know that dead spot where you don't get more power even when you give more gas? yea that's your carb having more go than your motor can use
at fifteen psi only so much can fit into 149 cc
so no you don't really need a bigger carb

I just finished installing my big bore kit (180cc) and was wondering if I should stick with my stock 24cc carb or jump into a 28mm or 30mm CVK.

Depends on what you're after as far as performance,,the engine will run decently with the stock carb but would slightly suffer at the top of the rpm range ,,but will have more torque / hp where most people ride low to mid rpm range,,personally I'm not a fan of vacuum diaphragm carbs and run slide carbs,,,a 24-26mm GENUINE mikuni round slide VM series would be my call and was on my vespa et4 150cc ,,,best thing that ever happened to that turkey

what has you confused psi ? because you're using acronyms yourself was "no you don't really need a bigger carb" to complicated
30 cubic centimetres is only 20% of 150 cubic centimetres stock is fine

My question is more based on a performance standpoint. The question is, will there be any benefit stepping into a 28mm carb. I have the Ecotrons wideband O2 kit to nail the mixture so I wont have to mess around with jets too much. As it stands, there is no flat spot because it hasn't run in quite some time. I have removed the fuel injection kit to step back into carb land. Thats all the question is. You dont have to be cynical and snide. I get that you are a scooter god.

If you’re looking for more top end 2mm larger will help but a final drive gear change is in order to increase top end significantly
