Who is more macho? (And why can't I post some pictures?)
Chuck Bronson
Clint Eastwood

I remember years ago a comedian doing an imitation of Charles Bronson ordering a burger at McDonald's, "I want a ham-burger. No pic-kles. No Let-tuce. No special-sauce. And if you don't do it right I'll stick your face in the deep fry-er!"

This is tough. Charles Bronson. He dug the escape tunnel in "The Great Escape" by himself. Hard to vote against the High Plains Drifter, but I will.

Well, ya' finally got one I can't decide on... Both guys are super-macho and I'm a big fan of both...
I'd like to see them together in one movie, but I don't think they ever did share the screen together. What a pair they'd have made!
One other guy you might want to add to this pair is Jack Palance... He'd fit right in!

Gotta vote Clint. "Outlaw Josie Wales" is one of the finest movies ever filmed. And Eastwood directed it too. Did Bronsen direct any movies?

Bronson learned to speak English when he was a teenager; before that, he spoke Lithuanian and Russian.[11] Bronson was the first member of his family to graduate from high school. When Bronson was 10 years old, his father died and he went to work in the coal mines, first in the mining office and then in the mine.[3] He later said he earned one dollar for each ton of coal that he mined.[11] He worked in the mine until he entered military service during World War II.[3] His family was so poor that, at one time, he had to wear his sister's dress to school for lack of clothing.[12][13] World War II service ( For anyone who may want to reconsider their answer. )

I also read that Bronson was awarded a Purple Heart.

Sorry fly', I'm staying with Clint. Josie Wales beats everything for me. That movie would halt game night with my friends'. Didn't matter we'd seen it a billion times, we'd still stop everything to watch it yet again. Helped that two of my friends agreed about how good a movie it is.

Kat- I did not find any films directed by Bronson. I guess he had no desire to be a director. I think he was Too Macho to be a director.
I like Outlaw Josie Wales too, because he fired authentic Colt navy revolvers, using period correct black powder. Those black powder revolvers are really fun to shoot. They spit flame and smoke like a cannon.

'bender, I bet you're a blast to see movies with, rather like my old ROTC friend. We saw, I forget, I think one of the Lethal Weapons. He got loudly upset 'cause the helicopters were this type, but the noise their guns made were from that type of gun which was never mounted on this type of helicopter.... We quit going to movies with him. Although revolvers that spit flame and smoke do sound fun. And gosh, wouldn't they be pretty darn macho, huh huh? (now I have to go watch Josie Wales yet again, just to pay attention every time he shoots his guns! "Seems to me you get to DISlikin' someone, he ain't around long, neither." "Not a hard man to follow--leaves dead men wherever he goes.")

I would probably get along well with your ROTC friend, Kat. I also flip out a bit during war movies when they show a warplane with a big radial engine flying along, but the engine sound is sourced from an inline engine. That really bugs me. A radial engine sounds like a garage full of Harleys when running.
