No problems here, except for a bad computer cable that took several days to locate. Who is more macho? Henry VIII Louis XVI

Going purely by pop culture.
"I'm 'enery the Eighth, I am..."
"You went the wrong way, old King Louie...."
Gotta go with Allan Sherman. He was a genius.

Louis XVIth. Beheading your wife is not macho. Louis was beheaded by the National Assembly before they beheaded his wife. This is certainly a "heady" topic.

Louis had much better taste in furniture. That's true, but I have always been a big fan of "Tudor" styled houses. -You know we are talking about some really tough hombres when we decide their macho-ness based furniture styles and architecture.

In a technological age "machismo" is now defined by the products you own. ( just look at pickup truck commericals... or what really sells Harley's?)

"In a technological age "machismo" is now defined by the products you own. ( just look at pickup truck commericals... or what really sells Harley's?)" I believe that's largely true in the cities and suburbs, spandi. -In "Flyover Country", where there are no freeways, malls or day spas, I think machismo is more defined by hunting, fishing, survival and handyman skills.

kev', that's is better, but Allan Sherman still wins. My vote remains Louis.
spandi, I've no idea what "Shindig" and "Where the action is" means. I'm guessing the clip I found was from Ed Sullivan's show?
>'Kat, laughing over the whole "furniture vs house style" debate

"Where the Action Is" was a tv show that was hosted by Paul Revere and the Raiders band. I remember very little about it. It aired after school in the sixties. I switched the channel to cartoons.

They were 60s music TV shows (way before MTV) Shindig was hosted by Bobby Sherman and Where The Action Is had Paul Revere and the Raiders. There was also Hullaballoo at the same tine period, and they would have guest bands on like Herman's Hermits.

well I bought a truck, because I use it like a truck is supposed to be used, if your truck has no dents or dings, you're doing it wrong, cars shouldn't have dents, but they are character to a real truck
