I have a 3 YO gy6 150cc. when I first bought the scooter, I installed (ecotrons) efi, but after one problem after another with it (components failing), I finally removed it and installed a new carb.
After hooking up the carb. scooter starts right up, on the center stand accelerates fine - no popping, bogging and gets up to about 8600 RPM. The problem is under load (riding) it will not go over 30mph and tops out 6600 RPM.
I know nothing about carburetors, so I'm stumped as to what the problem is. I don't know if it is the carb or another issue. I have 11G weights, recently new (no rev limit) CDI and coil wire and iridium spark plug.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've fixed everything on this scooter myself, so I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but this has me stumped.

UPDATE: What an idiot I am. intake manifold clamp to carb was in the way of throttle opening all the way.... Took a friend to see the issue.
