Hello all, I've removed my seat numerous times and put it back on and had no issues with it closing or opening back up when I turned the key. This time I noticed that I had to push on the back end in order to get it to lock. Well I closed it after letting it charge over night and went for a ride around the neighborhood.
When I rode down my driveway over the curb I heard the front end latch and didn't think anything of it. When I got home and tried to open it up it wouldn't open. I noticed that the back part of the seat wasn't locked down so I tried to push it locked but it wouldn't catch. I can lift up the back end but can't get it to lock. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to get it to open? I can access the rear latch but other wise it's locked tight. The key turns but the front lock doesn't release.

If you can lift the rear and twist it a little bit you may get access to the front latch

I own 4 Honda Reflex scoots and have worked on them extensively so I'm pretty familiar with them. I can help with most of them. Your problem is similar to ones where the owner accidentally locks their key in the trunk. Here is the solution that has always worked. (so far): You need to remove the air box cover for the air filter. But only just the air box cover; it is for easier access to the cable that goes forward from where the key lock is to the front seat latch.
NOTE: one of the phillips screws for the cover gets accessed through a small hole in the side cover. It requires a phillips screwdriver long enough to reach it and might take a few tries to get it undone since you can't really see it and have to do it more by feel. Putting it in straight and level often can get it to the screw on the first try. Patience... you'll get it. You just need to back the screw out to where it no longer holds but it does not need to be removed from the cover. In fact you might not be able to anyway since it is behind the plastic and you can't reach it to pull it out. You don't want to anyway because you won't be able to reinsert that screw for lack of space once the cover is placed back on. It needs to be just started through the hole on the cover when you put it back to be reinstalled.
A heavy duty coat hanger wire or section of welding rod bent with a short rounded hook only big enough to hang on your little finger should do, but 2 of them may work better. Looking up from under the plastic where you would expect to see part of the key lock, you may be able to see a small section of the cable that goes forward to the latch. That is where you need to get your hook on the cable. Getting both hooks up there would be better. Using just one hook on the cable and pulling down may do it, but you might have to pull down fairly hard but that may take the bend out of your hook and it will slip off... the latch cable is pretty stiff after all. With 2 hooks, one needs to be slid forward toward the latch as far as you can get it to go while the other hook can be somewhere between that and the lock. Pull straight down on the forward hook and back at an angle with the hook to the rear. That "should" do it.
Good luck
