So, it has been 7 months since we purchased the 2016 Kymco Super 8 150R. We have just over 2100 miles on it, so we average 300 miles per month, almost all on weekends/holidays. How many miles do the rest of us put on per month, on average? A brief review of the 7 months... This is a great scooter - even though it is made in China. Yes, the lower end of the Kymco and SYM and even Genuine lines are now made in China - and all of the Lance's. But, they are made to a "higher standard" than the common Tao Tao, Baccio, Rocketa, Peace Sports, etc. Except for the mystery of the briefly not-operating-correctly powertrain - itistheride.boards.net/thread/9945/first-problem-kymco-super-150r - all has been well. I have added a windshield - and that is it. This is the smallest (in frame size) that I could get away with and still carry a passenger. My previous 2008 Baccio VX150 (which was stolen - ) had a slightly longer wheelbase and a glovebox. The Kymco has no glovebox, which is good for me - if it did, the glovebox door would likely hit me in the knees, as it does on a Kymco Like 200i... A bit more power would be nice as well, if only for some roads in the area that would be nice to travel on, but have 50 or 55 mph speed limits that are ignored, and the max speed of the 150 (as well as safety) is being pushed. For most of our riding, this is a great scooter. My "wish list" of new scooters includes the SYM HD 200 and RV 200, as well as the Kymco People GT 300i - any of which would provide that little bit of extra "oomph" to feel safe on any road we would wish to ride. Used provides many more possibilities for those (like us) with limited budgets. See here: itistheride.boards.net/thread/9886/interesting-offerings-local-craigslist-scooter

While you're looking at used SYMs and Kymcos, don't forget those used Piggys! Oh, and Appys, too (might as well beat rocky to it) >'Kat

I'm averaging about 6000 per riding season or 1000 per month. This year I'll do my long distance riding on the Suzuki and do the local stuff on the 150, it could use a break after last year.
