Hello, im needing some help. i have a scooter with the 1PE40QMB 50cc 2 stroke engine with a DC ignition system. i bought the scooter used with 13kms on it, when i got it, it had a bad cdi and no battery. so i bought a new battery, and a no-rev limit dc cdi from monsterscooterparts for the 2 stroke. after i got the cdi i found out i had to redo the ground wires of the bike cause i had a short somewhere and i kept blowing fuses. so once i got that all straightend out i attempted to start the bike. but it was a no go. so i did my usual tests, i get a good steady 12.5vdc at the cdi, with the power wire plugged into the cdi i tested the ground teminals on the cdi to see if there was any voltage drop, i checked this because my old one went from 12.5vdc in, to 4.3vdc out at the ground, so i knew it was bad. but on this one i get the same reading as the iput voltage. i then tested my pickup coil, which read a good 1.6vac. so, now it comes to my main questions. what is the rated output voltage supposed to be for my DC cdi? is the voltage AC or DC? and how do i test to see if my ignition coil is bad? those are the main 2 things that is delaying me from getting my scooter running. considering its BRAND NEW, with only 13kms on it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
