I noticed my scooter is using a lot of fuel with no visible leaks or fuel vapor smell or odor. I also notice an erratic idle which i do not know if it is related to the excessive fuel use or not. It usually has a low steady idle, but seems to idle from normal to higher and back down again. Does anyone have a clue and a solution? Thank you.

Check for vacuum leaks like at the intake manifold

Take your Vacuum line off at the INTAKE MANIFOLD and see if it WET. If it is your PETCOCK is allowing fuel to flow through the VACUUM LINE, if so replace PETCOCK.

I do not detect a fuel odor or visible leak. Thank you. Have not checked the vacuum line, will later tonight when I get to work.

When you say MASSIVE FUEL USE, what are we talking about and what kind of scoot is this, 50cc 150 etcc and is it modded?
The excess would go out the tail pipe and or into your crankcase, so check your crankcase and pull the oil plug out smell it and or check if it is overfilled with gas.

Sorry about that. Its a 50cc 2008¿ Roketa MC-08-50. Uses a full tank in about 3 days. Around 60 miles.
