Hi
I took my break pads off my bike and my pistons are sticking out and can't fit new pads in my break has loads of air in the hydrolics and I'm bleeding that tomorrow but why won't the piston reset??

if you have air in lines you can't compress because air can't be. you need to open bleeder valve then compress piston back inside itself. Then put in pad then bleed out air because you get very little action per lever you will need to do it a lot in less you have a vacuum devise which will help you out a lot. Harbor freight sells them around 15.00

Harbor freight sells them around 15.00 Air can't be Compressed? Since When? How thee heck do I get 3,000 Psi worth in my tank to go Diving?. How does my Air-Compressor work then? So then Hydraulics Don't work cuz you Can Compress it. I'm all Confused |

I was referring to hand pumping not machine operation. The stroke on break lever is so slight it would be hard to do. How many squeezes our hand would probably get cramp. The vacuum device would be quicker and for sure air would be gone.
