I have a stator question. I'm in the process of upgrading to a 11-pole. Everything so far as matches between the existing and upgrade parts. The magnetic pickup and woodruff key positions match on the flywheel.
But, comparing the stators it appears they don't match exactly.
Does the position of the black primary coil matter?
