I checked a whole bunch of exhausts on ebay and none of them have a hose?

It is most likely that your scooter has a EGR (EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION) emission system on it.
Take a look here I put together all the possible Emissions a scooter may come with.

can i take that off? what about if i buy a after market muffler that doesnt have that?
