Went to a Honda/Yamaha dealer looking for acessories and sat on the Zuma. It just doesnt fit me well and I think it a bit on the plain side. Down the isle was a Grom. I went over to it, looked it up and down, sat on it and fell in love! Not that it fits me any better than the Zuma but that be damned! Its dead sexy. I dont care how big you are. Nobody looks silly on a Grom! If i have to get a MC license I might as well get one of those too!

Make sure you have a 150 before you go through the trouble the 150s are much faster than the 50s it would be an obvious difference

Kind of reminds me of the old Honda minibikes. (from the early 70?) Though the name sounds more like a Russian rocket booster.

Looks like a fun little bike. I'd like to take it for a spin around the block and down the highway a few times. I prefer the all black ones.

Its actually the size of the average scooter. Not as small as you think.

Scootnwinn, what was the story with the change? You trade the Vespa or find the honda and sell?

Vespa didn't cut the mustard in performance or reliability. She was fun to ride and all but after the second ride in the back of pick-up (one in my boss' truck on a failed work mission) she got sold. I got the Honda then sold the Vespa. My first bike was the 500 version of what I'm riding now and the full fairing and full luggage set is nice too have. I use the bike year round as my primary transportation for work and in the course of business. The Burgman was a great bike for this but lacked soul and was too appliance like. The Honda has all the character with a nice V-twin growl and is practical for my needs. At 55 mpg It gets similar mileage as the Burgman and better than the Vespa so there you have it. Got her for $1200 so all in all it was hard to find a scooter that would do the long distances I ride up enormous hills through mountains and all that in my price range.

I want to get a 500 again

Some sites call these 'monkey bikes'. Superiorpowersports sells chinese rip offs of the bike for about 1/4th the price of the Grom. The grom is 125cc, but it's said to have hit 70MPH, which is quite a feat for a 125cc engine. Even my roketa MC-05-127 reaches only upto 55MPH, 60MPH when ducked forward. Chinese Grom Rip, 125cc, est 60MPH tops: Price went up already from when I last saw. $1300 delivered.
