one thing u can do is run you intake hose into the underseat compartment and conect your uni filter on inside the compartment. you will have to drill some holes in the side of the compartment for fresh cool air. i had an idea to run a 2.5 inch aluminum coil through out the underseat compartment and back out with a uni conectec on the outside and fill the compartment half full with ice. this would cool the air going to the carb. you would hve to have a drainage valve to drain the water as it melts and you would need a lid to cove the coil and ice also. just an idea i thougt about a couple yr ago. just havent tried it yet.

I have a Uni on my 2T and I have to keep it oiled and covered with a tarp in my car port . I have gotten water in the carb when it rained hard and the wind was blowing . I simply drained the bowl and was good . I only ride it when I am sure I will not get in rain . My Echarm has the airbox and I ride regardless of the weather . I rode 30 miles in a Typhoon that had water 3 or 4 inches above my ankles inside my rain suit with no problems with my scooter . I almost died twice from cagers since it rained so hard it really limited visiblity and it was at night .

Under the seat is too hot and limited space to fit a cooler . I would ether attach a milk crate on the rear rack , if you have one , and get a small cooler like an Oscar . You will be profiled as a beer drinker by many . A rear trunk is great for storing drinks , snacks and other items that you do not want to expose to the engines heat . You can get some styrofoam in the two part liquids that when mixed dry and form styrofoam from a boat shop so you can insulate your trunk . The cheap trunks are small and not sturdy so you may want something like from www.coosecase.com . I did like how my TaoTao ATMa had two cubbies up front and would hold a 20 oz bottle of water or soda , but not keep it cold .

I saw a guy with a Camelpak ( expensive brand name ) which is a narrow back pack with a 2 liter reservoir bladder and a hose with handsfree mouth tip . Well the fanny pack style starts at 30 and backpack can be as much as 80 dollars . I bought a generic one at Kmart or Walmart for 20 dollars . Amazon has pages of em . Since the opening is so big I put in chilled water and ice cubes in the reservoir . I also put in two of the freeze blocks to keep it cool as long as possible . It has storage compartments and pockets for other stuff too .

Walmart or any bicycle part store you can get a bottle water cage for cheap and it will hold most 16 to 20 0z bottled drinks as well as the bottle that may come with the bracket . I used to ride mountain bikes for sport and I had two cages . I would have a frozen bottle of water for the return trip and drink the chilled water first .

You want to block rain and it is sometimes your only transportation? Leave the stock airbox on.

Sorry but after all that you have just removed storage space and made a huge airbox. Might as well just use the stock one and keep the storage. I don't want an oily Uni in my storage compartment spreading oil all over my groceries and important papers. I have run K&N and Uni filters in stock air boxes for a long time with good results...

i was thinking about puttin the airbox on but no sure ow my carb will like it...i like having free flow but the air box maks alot more sense
