Dirt and mud won't hurt it at worst water would make the belt slip but it would take alot. And the kick starter works just as good as new.

I don't doubt the kick starter works, but the system works clockwise, and from the photos, the kick starter is set up to where you would have to pull it up to turn clockwise..
