hey there. wanted to ask u a coupole questions. im goign to ask you a cople of questions, and i want them answered. immediately. ok i got this 1e40fm motor. i heard that it's a qmb-a or qmb (type 1) motor. im trying to find out the differences, between it and the qmb, and the regular motors, qmb, u kow like, 1e40qmb. i think the fm means 90cc bottom end. and it's a qma motor. like. it's off a sundiro scooter. is what someone told me. i thought it was a sunny. i remember hearing about cheetah scooters. .... wwell anyway, cheetah's, where cheeters. people thought they where like 72cc. or 90cc or whtaever. but they where 50cc or 54cc and i think some people told me that. hehe. whtaver. cant remember. these motors where like actually 54cc, since htey had a big crank bottom end. well. i guess could just figure it out. hear dthe head diffrence was 6.6cc something like that. and a stock, was 5.5cc. heard that on 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/1258/1e40qmb-1e40fm-engine-info there < the thing about 54cc i might of heard somewhere else. becuase its a small top end trying to set the motor to be 50cc on a 90cc crankshaft. anyway. ok. the crankshaft is 10mm wristpin. the gears fit into a vento is what i heard, on same link < . ive counted and took pictures maybe i can recount. the final drive gear numbers. i counted under 11 but the gears are sensitive like barely turn the clutch, back wheel goes its big back wheel, anywayyy. number of turns for the back wheel to go around once. ratio.. ? it was like 10.8 i guessed :1 10.8:1. but probably maybe 11:1. it's shortcase so shoftcase belt. so you got ure shortcases. longcases. are their different kickers? so if you have a short case, is it a qma, or qmb kicker cover? i heard qmb are different than qma. qma's and qmb's are different. kicker cover will fit, but kicker kick lever won't work. so. are there qma qmb, shortcases, covers, and? longcase covers? which are which, are there some qma shortcase kciker covers to find for this bike? are them all the different variaties of 2 stroke. are there matching yamaha covers for these? ive seen the starters are up high, around the variator, on yamahas, hondas are low over to the side, on the left, of teh cvt cover. ... and so, ehm does anybody know if the engine cases are ported since its a qma are qma motors ported for qmb. or are qma 90cc weird. different. cause... so if anyone knows what the closest to a jog clone is and can give me comparisons of this compared to that. itd be great. and this bike says sundro all over it. the attached picture is the starter gear still stuck. i got the case open. an oven and a deadblow . and a puller. on one side, a puller, the other. .. a deadblow.. bang. Prob 10.13:1 final drive ratio. 10.13:1 and 13.55:1 are the most common Chinese long case ratios.
The short and long case CVT covers are a little different. Different depths.
The FM/QMA should be ready to accept 90cc parts. The problem with them is that you can't really find 90cc cylinder kits for a 10mm wrist pin and unless you can get the cylinders just for them, you can't really get a 50-70cc that works without modifications. They're a great engine if you want to to a full build and replace the crank with a 42-25mm stroker with a matching cylinder kit 50-54mm bore. It's basically 90cc cases, with an oddball crank and cylinder kit.
