this normal for 22 miles on the engine. doing my bbk and noticed a significant black see pic.  thouhgt it might be the oil i got from auto zone. |

What brand did you use? I had nearly 500 on mine when I had the head off and you could still see the metal of the piston I'm using a full synthetic though... I wouldn't use general purpose 2 stroke oil unless I absolutely had no other choice...

i heard it was thicker, run 45:1. i ran it at 100:1. cause i can't count, and didnt notice any damage, but im in the process of damaging. so.

iv just used 10w-30 and 15w-45 motor oil in my 2011 and 2012 taotao 50 cc and have 4000-7000 miles on and have a carbon build up on both the top of piston and where the valves are.

it probably ain't the brand imo but how much oil in the mixture have you adjusted the oil pump down, i used 5-7 dollar brand oil since i have been scooting from autozone or advance without issue, well i have had issues but none caused by the cheap oil, also being rich in the fuel will also cause build up
