Na,, Just do a basic PDI and you will be fine,,they are a step up from the chinese scoots most of us run with little to no problems...

Yeah,, The bigger the hole the faster the slide goes up/down,,if the spring is one coil shorter there is less resistance and it will go up/down even faster..lol..will make for a snappy motor response

So you have no spark at the plug I take it? You need to run a few tests,,does the head light still come on dim while you crank it,,its ac fired I assume? Take a look at this video it will really point you in the direction to get it back up and running Im sure!

Hmmm,, If it was not doing it before you took it apart maybe you put something back wrong especially the float pin. I would pull the fuel line off the inlet on the carb then crank the motor over and see if you have a good strong flow of fuel to the carb,,if so then the issue is downstream in the carb,,if not the issues is between the tank vent, tank, petcock, and filter..I think the petcock went south on you or the float is not moving freeley.Could have sucked some dirt into the carb also,,the fuel tank sending units have these really poor quality floats on them that break apart in the tank and clog stuff up... Since it is a 2008 you might want to check the valves for .004 of an inch also,,but I don't think that's your problem. Welcome aboard the greatest Chinese scooter forum on the planet!! Tom

The float on the end probably just rotted off,,this happens to all of them in a year or two,,best bet is to fix/mod the original by using a float from an auto sending unit ,IMO it should be part of the PDI,might have to cut it down a little to fit through the tank hole though,,I used a ford ranger float and it works perfect,,will never have to change it again

Your scoot sounds awesome man!! As soon as I heard it on the video I knew it was FIXED,,you should plug the old CDI,and coil in just to verify which one was the problem,,if it runs good with your old CDI and coil then you know it was carb,,make sure to do only one at a time...
Awesome!!!

Like a said,, A 26mm carb could just be too much for a stock motor. Why did you go with such a big carb? Try a small jet like a 110 and see if it gets any better..
