Man from one problem to another...was there ever a golden screwdriver in the motor? Make a video of it running I would like to hear the motor idle and take fuel(rev up) if you can...

Lack of fuel delivery IMO,something between the tank vent, tank and carb...and if thats flowing good it could be a clogged exhaust,,those 2 strokes clog up spark arresters all the time..even though its upgraded maybe?? Did you try another CDI and coil? What are the valves adjusted to .004,,did you check them?

The original motorcycles had external valve trains and oil flew all over the place since that was just the way they were. That's where Harley came from so yes the old ones leaked. Still would go for an Indian Chief myself if I was inclined to get a big cruiser. Maybe something with a Ridley automatic drive because of my bad leg. We have a museum called Space Farms pretty close to me,,I like to go for a ride and see all the old bikes and motorcycles,,they have stuff from early 1900's and up,,so cool to look at that stuff ... www.spacefarms.com/gallery-exhibits.html

Saw a couple Kymco and SYM's in there,,that's cool...the Hondas don't impress me,,we all know they are the best..lol What is impressive to me is that the Sport City like mine made 3rd place despite the handicap they gave the Sport City and the fact that the rider had installed the wrong Dr Pulley Sliders in it so that the belt rode up too high and rubbed against the oil sump gasket damaging it requiring that he baby it until the next stop so the gasket, belt and sliders could be replace en route after cleaning up all the mess. If he had started off with the correct diameter sliders from the start he may have taken the top spot.. Wow,,I hear that,,very impressive but the Italians know what they are doing as well...lol

Just go over it like Alley said,,if it was never gassed up it should be fine after a proper PDI and replace battery,belt,...remember a scooter never dies,,it can be rebuilt easily...

I had Harleys,, They are over rated,,granted they sound good when they idle,,but for me,,I would never buy another junk Harley,,your better off strapping two 10 hp briggs to a frame,,a huge percentage of your money goes into building their fancy buildings and extravagant showrooms,,,no thanks,,too big for their britches. Now a Honda is a different story,,we all know they are the best

Only thing I remember that went wrong with his was the fuel sending unit,,probably just the float fell off..and I think his seat latch was broke,,but he rode the wheels off that thing..
