Awesome man!!!! Glad to hear the positive reports,,we got a call today from Kayli's doctor said the MRI was normal,,so thank God!
Sounds like your dad will come around soon,,just need to figure out the cause of the pain,,could very well be just alot of gas,,my dad was nearly hospitalized for gas once..after what your dad went through Im sure its just some nerves that where damaged during surgery,,and they will heal with time..

We will all keep praying that the new shunt will drain all that fluid out the right way so she can make a 100% recovery,,in the name of the Fathers Son I pray....Amen

That is really cool,,I remember adjusting valves on my old 1974 Opel Manta field car that way,,my dad had a special valve cover that was cut open only at the top so you could reach the adjusters,,the sides where pretty high so not much oil would splash out,,we would adjust them all by ear..was so awesome,,I was 10 years old,,back in 1980.

I am not obsessive about looks. I have had this one running since January and I have only washed it once, but it's not muddy here and the rain keeps the dust off. Now that it's warm I see bugs on the windshield. I'll have to get those off tonight. I change the oil when I sense a disturbance in the force, and I am going to check my valves again soon. Now that I have the external valve adjustment, it takes all of five minutes to pop the seat and adjust them. Sweet! I am happy when my scooter is running in top shape. I don't fuss about the detailing. I just want to trust it. I still miss the ride on Scootie though. Definitely superior in handling to this one, but this one's got more giddyup, more trunk space, cool "knight rider" type lights on the trunk, a big comfy seat, and a nice digital dash complete with a clock, handy for knowing how fast I need to drive! As long as it's running good and nothing is broken, I'm good to go. Extermal valve adjustment??? I need to see some pictures of that,,it takes me at least 45min. to do mine,,the plastics slow me down so much....

I like my scooter alot,,but there is always this kinda gritting my teeth, looking at it from the corner of my eye,,knowing its a chinese work of art..so Im always a bit leery about how its going to treat me,it has not gained my full trust yet,,and may never,,so i cant be too sweet to it.
I do wash,degrease,change oil,belt,sliders,lube cables,pivot points,bushings,and all that stuff on a regular basis,,but it aint no Honda!

I was thinking about running Castrol Syntax stuff,,saw a guy on youtube with 30k miles on a china gy6 and thats all he ran,,when I took my head off for BBK I saw some minor scuffing on my piston,,that is making me second guess using Rotella anymore...not sure if it had anything to do with it or the jug just had a tight spot,,maybe piston was a little off casted too..who knows with this junk.

I love my blue Progress Racing CDI,,my first one left me stranded on the side of the road,,but this one has been awesome now for at least 2k miles.

Ok,,well hopefully it gets better with time, you said it did it before the BBK,,well it just might be something in the head like broken valve guide seals too....or did you change the head also?

Pulled the 25,000 mi. (63cc) engine on Peanut and installed an adopted one with 5,000 mi. Upgraded it to 72cc, new powerlink belt, knockoff stock china variator (Kosos don't work here) rollers, new clutch (other was bent ? = lol) and new tires. Seems to smoke a bit when warming up... maybe rings need to seat? After warm-up it's off to the breeze. Runs great, too (after playing with carb needle). Thanks, Scooter. Without the people here; I would still be chipping wheels of granite (changing the rubber ones is enough work in itself). Smoking,,is that a 2 stroke? It should not smoke at all,,if after it broke in and you still see smoke on warm up I would suspect ring clocking was not proper or may have moved when you slid the jug on? Tom

Mine is hard to start if the weather is colder than 40 or so...if its warm out it starts right up. No kickback anymore,,had that problem a little with the stock motor and a performance CDI..the Progress Racing CDI I have on there now works really good,,smooth idle,no rev limit, and better performance by far than stock CDI. Can you shoot that with a timing light and let us know what you find ? John Yeah John,, Soon as it warms up I will,,it might be the same CDI you have,,not sure but its really smooth,,unlike all the rest of them I tried. I have to get a cheap light also,,dont have one yet.
