I come from an old world portuguese family. They would get a hog at the farm, slaughter it ,bring it home for preparing it. it's avery big affair, and NOTHING goes to waste . Younger generation just goes to the supermarket ;Dme too

[replyingto=larry001964]larry001964[/replyingto]Lucky you! I can't complain though. the "old Man" owner recently passed away and his son took over. He wants me to Outsource most of the stuff we used to do in house, so I get to put out for bids, and watch contractors do a lot of things, But I still do breakdowns. It's Very large heavy equipment. but not so clean

wow thats great! hey Larry, I do feel kinda bad about the chinese scooter thread. I just took offense at the guy trying to tell me what i find a good value is not, I figure I paid 800 for the thing, and rode the heck out of it for 16000 miles by simply maintaining it and not abusing it. It still runs too! if it blew up today, it owes me nothing. I think it was a good value. anyway its water under the bridge. I'm going to do the variator & gearing next week

This is why I still have my original scooter. I don't want to sell it, I want to work on it too. In the meantime, I got another one to use and improve on. It's kind of fun,as well as a challenge, and I'm not spending $1000's of dollars doing it so now I have one to use, and the other to tinker with. AND they are both inexpensive chinese scooters.

I know, and you,re absolutely right. This guy just frustrates the out of me , bashing all chinese scoots, as with any product, you have the good and the bad. I don't buy Everything new, Just the scooters, because I have a trust issue withsellers around here.

Hey gitsum, Did you ever buy anything BRAND NEW? All your bragging about your rides, THEY ARE ALL USED- somebody elses leftovers. I buy my stuff new. and it so happens that i could own any bike i choose NEW; I choose a chinese scooter because For what they are, they are a great value And for me, as some have said, It's the FUN of improving something with your own ideas and your own two hands If everyone had a SUPERIOR bike, with no issues or questions, we would'nt have a forum now would we?

yeah some guys do that. I've heard of some guys drilling 3/8" holes on the underside if the stock airbox cover for more air. You have to experiment with different jets to get the optimum performance you want with a good fuel/air mixture. It's a trial & error process until you get it just right. You should start with a goal in mind, and make adjustments till you get there ;D

Yeah, that's a bracket. technically not a swingarm. But that would be the easiest part of the project. I would just build on what you already have, It's a real nice platform ;D I would do a BBK,carb.variator,CDI,Coil Maybe intake and exhaust mods. and the 50/16 gears are a good choice

12" tires will not fit on a short case motor. You need a long case. I don't know what you mean by a swingarm, But the entire motor assembly IS the swingarm. You can install the second shock with a bracket. ;D You will also need to do extensive changes to the frame to mount a 150 in there, as the mounts are totally different. they are on the top of the case ;D
