I would'nt start with the largest, quite the opposite. The tallest gears are for the scooters that have BIG TIME mods, Stroker crank.big valve heads etc You need a lot of power for those. IMO, start out with 16/50s, and experiment with variator weights. Unless you have done extensive mods, stay away from anything larger. The motor wont have enough power for them ;D

Maybe it can be mounted low, on the forks with some sort of bracket, or maybe on the fender. I'd like to get one too, but thats what i'm thinking about... how will it look?

How the heck are you mathematically doing this when the gearset is the intermediate? Would,nt you need to take into consideration the entire ratio, and circumference of the rear wheel, with tire to compute this?

Alley it's not a "born yesterday " thing. It's this computer age thing. Younger minds today are FLOODED with all kinds of information about all kinds of things. When I grew up, we did'nt have all this info, so we relied on common sense and experiences of our elders.Younger people today rely so heavily on their technology and smart phones, that fewer and fewer people can think for themselves. And it's getting worse.SAD
