A young man who used to go to my church is serving in the Navy on a battleship. He helps run the engine room. When he was back on leave, he asked me if it worries me that 18-20 year olds are running what's basically a nuclear plant. My answer--"It does now!" Don't worry Kat, I am sure that they have adult supervision. |

It's a very nice-looking older B400, 2002-06...keep an eye on the oil level (they burn through the PCV) and check the valves. (I recall valve checks were every 6K.) How many miles? Already warned about the oil burning, and, told the slight modification that has already been done to slow the oil burning down. The guy I bought if from did all the good stuff that a person keeping a bike would do, oil change, valves, . . . even new tires. And, the bike has only 16000 miles on it. The only thing wrong with it is some minor body damage, mostly scrapes. |

Just got me a new scooter today. The photos say a whole lot about a deal that I just could not pass up. The seller will be delivering it when my cheque clears. I am really excited, I test rode it and did not think that such a large scooter would be so light and nimble feeling. (It is a 400cc Burgman.)    |

Yep. I did that shortly after posting my question, found the answer and came back to post that I had found it, and saw your suggestion. The answer is that it is an oil change reminder light, reset by holding down the hour and minute buttons for the clock along with the trip button, and having the key in the on position. |

Saw an advertisement on Craigslist for a CF Moto Fashion which indicated that the oil light was on. What does this light mean? The person running the add indicated that the light was to remind you of the 500 mile oil change, not sure that I believe that.  |

It sounds as though you are getting coolant in the oil. Possibly from a bad head gasket or warped or cracked head.
