it looks like part of the case. i was thinking, it was just back bracing the pickup, and holding a bracket that held the stator wire. it has a metal backplate between the pickup and the other screw where its broke. could just bend the metal brace back, and it would hold the piece that holds the bracket, and hold it, in that, or its aluminum. can epoxy work? what kind of aluminum welding?

what do you do, about cracking the pickup bar? on a 1e40qma motor? its cracked there, int this picture and at the other side on the case. ill upload a pic. can it be used?

af18e is a honda dio. i dont know what sym and kycmo call their motors though. syms have disc brakes and kymco's have 12 inch tires. and im not blind. either. but id like to know the differenvce between these motors. thanks. ... uhm. maybe ill find out if gears match. so, what doyou look for you guys, in performance in gears? do you find what yours is copied after? is it, e-ton? like for the 1e40qmb gears? because, ive heard you guys swap. well if they sell, e-ton .. do they though? i dontknow. then itd be like easier. but i can find maybe a set then. maybe more. later. maybe if i hunt more. maybe if a buddy swaps. maybe i was waslking through a motorcycle junkyard and was wondering, what i could get while there looking for parts for my bike. somethig i need.

let me talk about mine for a second here then maybe you can understand if you set them side by side.
mine is a honda elite af16e engine code. sym and kymco copied this motor. well. probably not this model. they upgraded and made af18e. the upgrades are NOT the motor, the engine. engines still fits the other bores. did have a bigger boost port. doesnt matter, unless you dont boost port match. but it still runs. either way. i dont konw i have an af16e. eh.. they upgraded, well, carb, airbox, it was also only japanese and canadian market. whatever the body panels
all im interested in heere in the motor. and the final drive. and cvt differences. like, i guess, the belt. it usually tells you and which case it fits to long or short. them are the things that get screwed up on chinese bikes.
but on hte af18e they also upgraded, or changed, the cvt. now these mods, can be squirmed into af16e bike. including body panels. the frames didnt change. thats the thing. or maybe they did. you can modify, i think the gas tank. was moved. i dont konw if you need to modify anything. i havent done it. or maybe it wasnt. they did later. still using the same engine. most of the rest of the stuff stayed the same too. i think af18e used a fuel petcock.
so. im asking about, 3 things here then. there how you take them apart and put them together. each of these usually stay the same. if people switch these things around, you can useually use a whole version as a mod, for a different bike.
..... whatever. ... then thats just whatver. you do it. and dont ask me how to fix that.
now. is there any comprehension to chinese bikes?
do qmb 4 stroke and qmb 2 strokes, match cvt? gears? what about engine size differences? im i guess talking about the yamaha clone and the qmb's. since i dont know much about the 4 strokes. but are there cvt, final drives, matching? and long case short case, just belt length?

so where do you get gears at? what is that, from where? besides scrap dog cause id want to see some quailty before id buy.
and it seems swaps can be done from other engines. cases. what? which ones? do 4strokes swap to 2 strokes? secondary?

holy fffffffing crap. 8.4:1 gearing final drive 8.4 spins equals 1 rear tire spin, an 80 has a 10 inch tire too. its off a 50. with a polini corsa.

by the way i already contributed. too. a 10 inch rim honda elite, with 8.4:1 ratio, and a kickbutt motor, can go 75mph. on them gears.
want a video of that? so, maybe yu can go from there, you know. i dont know. hyow yoru gears are geared. these are secondary gear swaps.

do shortcase, longcase gears swap. thats why i asked all about motors and stuff. and im looking here. theres different kinds of these motors. just wondering which ones swap put. i read on there, scrapp... hat qj might not fit.
what about all the different, qma qmb all that do yu guys know nothing? what copies are these copies of thats what im asking if you dontknow. then why buy ? and heres an idea.
if ratio, like means, clutch spins to spin back tire. so 10:1 is 10 clutch spins. if the gears, are teh same, people usually run a pretty big motor going 75mph on 8.4:1 gearing ratio. on a honda elite. u can go down to 7:1 but it gets pretty crazy. low down speed is slower takoff

where would you get bigger gears from? out of which kinds of motors? which, gears match up? this looks different cover than a shortcase, is it? is that all that is different between the short and long case gears? are the gears the same, the shaft and everythign? becasue if you changed gears, you would be able, to trade, with a short case? set of gears? as long as you kept your final drive cover, or what.. ? hehe. cause if the bigger ones fit, on any gears that match, maybe bigger 4 stroke versions of triton or whatever bikes the 10.3:1 ratio gears come out of, could be swapped.

u sound like u dont know nothing about scootes. have you, replaced your rollers, checked your cliutch springs, checked replaced, put a new belt on. in 3 years?
