If you are wanting a still shot camera and have the money a Canon Rebel SLR is awesome as it can use 35mm lenses and attachments . For video shots on a scooter the HD Go Pro is pretty good . I have checked out the go pro and it appears to be a decent camera. I have compared several other action cameras as well. The camera I want to replace is a cannon PowerShot digital elph. It is only 2 mega pixels, But takes excellent photo's. The only thing wrong with it is the battery is shot and won't hold a charge. Since I will replace it I might as well get one I can use on my rides also. Roy

I quit using radar detectors a long time ago. Since the advent of instant on radar. I switched to a radar jammer, I have two. Quit using them also when they came out with ka band. I also have a laser jammer I no longer use.

I am in need of a new camera. I have researched all the latest cameras and am thinking about getting the Sony action cam. Anybody own one of these?

I have an older version of the ecotrons system. I was one of the first to try it on a qmb139 engine. I have had it installed since april of 2011

Just a small question on the side, How much MPH and MPG you get out of a 50cc trike? (I'd estimate 25-30MPH, 80MPG)? Depends on If I'm going uphill or downhill. Your estimates are correct with a 50cc engine. I have a 72cc engine with E.F.I installed, And can get 45mph on level ground. 35mph is average, but will loose up to 10mph up a good hill. I have hit 52mph down hill. With the E.F.I. I average about 100mpg. Roy

Also known as a cross wind. A strong cross wind of say 20mph will even push my 600 pound trike sideways. When you panic accidents are more prone to happen because you are not in control of your reflexes. In time you should learn to control your fear and not panic. Pay attention to the sound of the wind. I can often tell when a gust is coming by the changes in sound, and you can be prepared for it. The sights and sounds around you will clue you in as to what is happening.

I like to power my accessories through a relay that is powered by a 12v supply from the ignition. This way If I forget to turn them off they don't run the battery down.

The are called spider gears. It puts the "Diff" in Differential. Yes they are called spider gears, But if you want to get technical they are actually just bevel gears. Roy

Sure, just gotta figure out where to drill the hole. And hook the positive to a 12v supply, preferably fused and the ground wire. my magnum has a hole in the glove box already. Roy

what grade of grease is recomened// I am getting grease on the brake disk ant tricks you know about//Thank you Fido I had that problem when I got mine also. When the bearing chewed up the axle tube I took it apart and cleaned all the white petroleum jelly out. The grease was oozing out where the little miter gear shaft can be seen in the housing. I used silicone all around the shaft and housing before putting it back together. It hasn't lost a bit of grease yet. The little shaft has a pin through it that goes into the housing to keep it from spinning. I used lucas red-n-tacky #2 grease . Roy

It is making a loud clunking sound. I haven't tore it apart yet. So I'm not sure what is wrong. I will give Jim a call this week and see how much it'll cost me for a rear end. I could have the shop make me one but It'll probably cost more and take about a month. It would be of better quality though. They make gears and parts for our machines at work. With the new stroker engine I'm fixing to put in it, the extra torque may just tear it apart. so I might as well go with a new one. Plus the bearings have already chewed into the tube once.

Actually it is more than I was thinking. I could have just bought a new 150cc trike. But then I would have to mod that. ;D

I'm really not looking to hit 50+mph I just want to be able to pull hills without losing a lot of speed. A steady 35-40mph up hills is my goal, but getting to 50mph would be a bonus.
If I count the new engine and stator I bought from scrappy (i didn't want to use the engine that is in it now). So far I have over a thousand dollars into this build, and that doesn't include the EFI. I don't have an exact total, but will post an itemized list later in my stroker build thread.
