That kid didn't ride home, He floated.  I know I did when I bought my 1st motorcycle.  Dave It was funny. I took off to work about 10 minutes after he had left and I ended up driving behind him. I guess he stopped for gas or something. Well, at the next light he pulls up next to his buddies car that dropped him off at my house and he leans over and high-fives him. |

I needed to get rid of one of my scooters and so I put my 2011 SSR Verona 150cc up for sale for $300. It has a brand new motor and runs lgreat, it has 1200 miles on it as a whole and 100 miles on the new motor, and only one scratch. I just wanted to get the money back for the motor and sell it quickly. thus the low price. I was swamped with so many calls I couldnt keep up. Many found it suspicious that it was only $300. Well, this kid came by today and bought it. He was so happy he was just beside himself as he was getting a good scooter for so cheap. I explained to him how to do oil changes etc and he rode off. I remember when I bought my first scoot (Honda Spree in  ) I felt just like him. I'm glad he got it.  |

Nah, it's called private enterprise. They own it and they have a vision for what they want to see on it. People are free to come and go....which is the opposite of communism.

It would be good to adjust/check those valve clearances anyway.

when you do a search or go to a certain section you have the option to omit the dealer ads and see only by-owner or or both or dealer only Oh ok, so I can filter those out. |

The craigslist scooters section in my area (Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, Valley) are all bombarded with tons of obnoxious adds from dealers. It hard to even locate a private seller anymore.

I made a directory as well, of the threads so that as they get used and re-arraigned it will be easy to find a specific state and click on it to find it, instead of looking through a lot of threads to find it. That's a great idea. I have read more than once where people are looking for others in there area for various reasons like riding, help, parts etc. This will really help. |
