Ya then you spun ur wheels ask for a few extra $ and they bark at the price . John John...EXACTLY what happened. I told him this 30 min job took 2 hours 20 minutes of my time..it will be $30 more.( I only charge $40 per hour as the other 5 shops within 50 miles charge $75) Soo $30 more for a 30 min job that took 2 hours 20 minutes is FAR from unreasonable. He bickered and fussed...wow! So I point to a kids Quad and tell him...see that?...needs a stator and lil repair on the headlight wiring...2 hour job..that would put $80 in my pocket..yet that time went to you..and all I am asking is $30 not $80. Never heard so many cuss words crammed into 2 sentences in my life! He wadded up the money and tossed it towards me....lol..some people...

You have to think of it more as a king surveying his domain, and only being upset, or taking action when it will limit any interference with revenue collection. Your rights (as such) are really of no concern to those in power. The Nazis had law and order. The Fascists in Italy had law and order, as did the Soviets....But where in the the debate did simple JUSTICE disappear? well put... As I said I respect the Police and their job protecting us... their job is to protect the corporation so i guess they are forced to protect some of us since they (slave masters) need someone to run the country (i.e. the corporation). this should be apparent from your earlier post. no officer took the time to track down any of your stolen scooters. no money in it for the corporation... more money to be made if you're stuck buying a new one. gps tracker seems like the best option and perhaps multiple locks. *anyone know if an alarm system that will call your cell exists? i'll have to do some research if nobody knows. i'd prefer that over a noisy sensitive alarm. Funny that you said that...'cause that is what the Officer told me when I rode up him along side the road. I said..Hey any luck finding my scooter yet?.. He said.."Sir we don't look for stolen vehicles, an investigation is a financial expenditure" Blew me away! So I asked to be sure..."ok...so you don't look for them because it costs money, but you can issue a citation because it makes money"...His reply to me was.."Well sir, that's pretty much how it is. If they happen to be stopped when the plate number or VIN comes back, we arrest them. Or if they try to register it your VIN is in the Secretary of States(DMV) database and will red flag. They call and we go get them".. Ok so they do a tiny bit...but I was surprised he put the truth out there to me as he did about making money..

Whenever it hits a certain rpm(im usually doing about 25-30 when it hits, depending on the road grade) it'll start to sputter and intermittently loose power. If i can make it past that 'hump', usually on a flat plane or slight slope, it'll be fine. It's just that sweet spot that it bogs down. I've been told a performance coil, along with rejetting the carb would fix the problem. If the stock coil should work, then maybe i just have a bad connection somewhere. Still need to rejet to see if that makes any difference Since it happens around 25-30mph which is were a 50cc transition to mainly the MAIN JET for fuel it could be either to rich or to lean at that point. But here is a Trick of the Trade to let you know what the motor needs when that happens. Bring it up to around those mph and as soon as it starts to ACT up BACKOFF THE THROTTLE about 1/4 OF AN INCH and hold it there. A. IF the motor speeds up it is LEAN, it wants more fuel at that point. B. IF the motor stumbles, hesitates and or just SETTLES DOWN it is RICH, it wants less fuel at that point. Give it a shot and get back on what the motor did. Alleyoop Good input. That method is a tried..true and proven method. You should have Doug put that in the 'Tech' section here. Have seen a few customer scoots REALLY messed up when they were trying to fix a carb problem and just guessing and tinkering. One guys scoot..he has the A/F out 5 turns...had changed his main jet..left it in and changed his pilot jet....so he thought the float was not allowing fuel flow..so he bent the tab that the float needle rides on. I clamped off the fuel line and left it outside until it was done dripping gas. He NEVER mentions anything...says he did not fool with the carb.. 2 hours later his conscience kicks in and he tells me all he did.(Ever wanna choke people like that for wasting your time) So what do ya do...put it all back to stock and go from there. All it needed? Main Jet needle raised up a notch..

Agree with the above. Also a bbk does not need a bigger stronger coil. If that were the case...why can and does a 150cc scoot use the same CDI and Ignition Coil as the tiny 50cc scoot?. Nah...you have a carb problem. Coils do have problems with spark at times....but that manifests itself at WOT....full throttle normally. The high rate of speed of current flow is more than old worn windings can handle and this causes a break down in its field. If ya don't wanna mess with all the hassle of taking the carb apart...cleaning then tuning it...get a new carb from tvacman up above. They are not very costly.

So what would you suggest take the place of law and order instead? You have to think of it more as a king surveying his domain, and only being upset, or taking action when it will limit any interference with revenue collection. Your rights (as such) are really of no concern to those in power. The Nazis had law and order. The Fascists in Italy had law and order, as did the Soviets....But where in the the debate did simple JUSTICE disappear? spandi...true and well put. Also right now in Korea they have law and order. As I said I respect the Police and their job protecting us..but being forced from above them to find ways to get revenue out of us is bothersome. I was picked up for a Warrant. The Officer picking me up is a very fair and honest man. Everyone in town has deep respect for him....the rest of them we could care less about. Anyway the Warrant was only partially filled out...no reason for arrest was even on it. He even said to me in the car he knows it was a court error and showed them the error. Yet they sent him out anyway and that he did not want to get me..but he was ordered to and it is his job. He then said btw everything we say in here is being recorded. I said so then what you said was recorded...he said Yes it was. So 3 days waiting in Jail I bond out and get an Attorney...she showed them the error and I was let go. I was FREE as the Judge said. Free?..Cost me $1,585 to be FREE. I was already free. Law and order yes...justice no. Show me the justice in my above story.

The law is not really concerned with your rights, or even right and wrong as such. Only that there is as little disruption as possible to get in the way of it's main function, and that is the harvesting of CASH. So what would you suggest take the place of law and order instead? Law and order is needed....collection of revenue for an infraction teaches what?... Make the punishment fit the crime. Just as the kid I mentioned...his was self imposed by making amends to the lady. You may not see this occur because you are busy protecting society...while those above you are looking for any tiny law to make..so YOU can go out....enforce it and collect their revenue. I have much respect for the Police Officers. They are doing their job protecting society...just as I did for 21 years in the military. However many times those Officers are forced to impose fines for simple really non issue things. Case in point....the road I live on is 55mph...3 miles down there used to be a school but it was boarded up and condemned 9 years ago. They left up the "School Crossing 30 MPH" sign. Now they sit and wait in an old dirt road that intersects the main road. Tickets are handed out hand over fist for those failing to slow down to 30mph. The School...the kids...everything has been gone 9 years. Yet you can still be ticketed for speeding in a school zone

Skip to the three minute mark. Unless you have your bike locked to something solid with a real solid chain/cable, it takes about 25 seconds to make off with it. That is just how easy it is! That is why the from brake disk locks people think are so secure are useless! That is how 3 of our 5 scoots were stolen when we used to sell scoots.. 2 Burly young fellas picked them up and put them in their truck....varoom....gone in less than 15 seconds says my elderly neighbor lady that saw them do it.

I tend to agree with gatekeeper. If your filter is full..you must be getting gas. It shows the typical signs of valves needing adjusted as they are too tight which is normal as an engine wears and settles in. Classic in that in runs great till it warms up...then sputters or runs poorly. Most of the time they will just stop running altogether. Easy fix though....should be back on the road in no time.. ;D

Crazy how I could be prosecuted for taking back what a thief stole from me.. Are laws to protect criminals or us I wonder.. The law is not really concerned with your rights, or even right and wrong as such. Only that there is as little disruption as possible to get in the way of it's main function, and that is the harvesting of CASH. BINGO! Young fella down the road just paid off a $1,600 fine. They gave him days to do it. I do not see how any ticket or fine corrects the problem at hand. All the kid learned was....in those days all your money goes to them..so you go without eating..or only eat one meal every other day....and that you live your last 28 days..of those days...without electricity. He rides his bicycle to work 5 1/2 miles daily. One week we had a bad blizzard so he walked for 3 days. He missed an appointment with his Probation Officer during the blizzard cause she is 16 miles away and he could not ride his bike. So he gets slapped with $1,600. Again how did that fix the problem? The only lesson Andrew learned was that....once the law is on your @ss...no matter how hard you try..you are screwed and they get a lil more revenue to line their pockets or frivolously waste on departmental things they don't need. Meanwhile you go hungry days..and without electric 28 days which means no heat as the gas furnace needs electric spark to ignite it. The town got together...we gave him 2 Kerosene heaters and the rest gave him 30 gallons of Kerosene. Which shows how the system works....WE THE CITIZENS..must ban together to help each other. He would have frozen to death in his lil apartment if we did not lend a hand. The system would just say..gee..that's to bad...a young man froze to death. Ok he messed up and let a friend talk him into doing a stupid thing. Since then he learned(on his own not by fines) he learned what he did was wrong and stupid...made amends with the lady whose house he broke into by shoveling her snow all winter and now he is cleaning up her yard and clearing a Garden plot for her. That is HOW the system should work..not take all your money making you starve and freeze.

hey..good idea!!! GPS chip...cause of all mine stolen...the Police tell you straight to your face "Sir we do not look for stolen mopeds,Scooters or Motorcycles, if we find it abandoned somewhere we will call you" on one of the Sunny's stolen...I found it. Nobody was home when I knocked. I had the original keys(but did not matter they had punched the lock out) I also had the factory sent MCO in hand....matched the VIN numbers exactly...then called the Police. They told me to get off the property immediately as it had potential for a dangerous situation. So I left and went home. No Officer showed up to get my MCO...called every2 hours that day...still no one showed up at my place or the thieves place. What a dummy the perpetrator was...he only lived just over 1 MILE from me. Thought he would ride it in town and not get noticed? Most likely he was gonna sell it to a person far away I would...unless he really was that stupid.. Regardless after 3 days of non stop calls they never showed up here or there. So I rolled up to an Officer hiding next to the Elementary School in their favorite speed trap. Showed him the MCO...he copied the VIN and said give him an hour. That was 7 a.m....by 7p.m. still nothing. So I call dispatch..and she says..."Sir, can you give us that VIN again, and I will get someone out there" Well been 18 months and still nothing. The guy lives right across the street from our Doctors office..and one day 2 mos. my gf went for an appointment. She used her cell phone and video recorded them put it in a truck and drive north out of town. Another phone call..and yup...you guessed it...STILL nobody showed up. Me thinks that sometimes, ya just gotta take matters into your own hands. If I found my stolen property in someone elses yard, garage, parking lot, ... it's coming home with me.. Tried that when the Officer supposedly 10 mins out..did not show up after an hour. I called dispatch and told her the VIN matches the MCO in my hand...it is my scoot...I am wheeling it away. Was told.."Do not go into their yard and take it, you could be charged with Trespassing, wait for an Officer"... and one never did show up. Crazy how I could be prosecuted for taking back what a thief stole from me.. Are laws to protect criminals or us I wonder..

Yes, the pickup checked fine. I'm looking for a coil now. Trying to find one with the correct connector and wires, not one with pink wires. Wire color is often irrelevant on Chinese products as they typically just use whatever color wire they have hand hand. So it can be a hassle finding which wire goes where. Most important is the correct number of poles and number of wires coming from it. Case in point...I ordered a Minarelli CDI. It has 5 wires...2 are in a connector so that part was easy..but not one of the other wires matched in color. So I saw that with the loose wires some were male and some were female....and that is how I got it plugged in properly. Took a few tries..but I got it..

[replyingto=chihuahuas]chihuahuas[/replyingto]Ok..agreed...that does not look right..since it is a press on cam gear I would re press it. Some cams have the gear welded on and if off..yer screwed. The way your looks now it would probably give you 3-5 degrees valve opening too soon. I would NOT use that cam until it was pressed on properly.

Fill that gap with a piece of pipe....then as oldchopperguy said....use a long bolt. But DO NOT let it just hang like that..pipe will crack and burn your exhaust valve! Also you MUST support the muffler itself....here is a pic on how I made one for my gf scoot. Cost me $3.75 for the piece of 1/2"X3/4" aluminum angle stock. Look closely at pic. It has lasted her going on 4 years now... The arrows in the pic show the 2 pieces of angle stock I used. Took 30 mins to make....super easy.. THAT is a perfect example of good old American "know-how" applied to a VERY non-American item... Two "thumbs-up" from the Old Chopper Guy! Leo in Texas Thanks LEO....and thanks for your service and duty to the citizens of your state. They do sell brackets he could buy to make it fit...they have cheap junk ones on Ebay for $25 and others for about $50 on different web sites. After seeing a customer scoot with a $40 one on it....I decided to make my own for $3.75. Funny part of the story..his broke after 4 months....gf's home made one is 4 years old! ;D @ The guy who suggested have a muffler shop heat and bend it...many customers have tried that route and most shops won't mess with the Chinese metal...they say it melts or gets holes too easy. The few that would wanted $50-$60 to attempt to make it fit. Maybe I am wrong in suggesting he not waste money...but I was raised on a farm...we were VERY poor. Did our own farm implement repairs..and never bought anything...if we needed it..we MADE IT! People may scoff at poverty..but I am willing to bet they have more ingenuity that a wealthy Corporate Executive..

[replyingto=chihuahuas]chihuahuas[/replyingto]No pic....but did you remove the cam chain tensioner before installing the new cam?..If not it can be impossible to line the holes up..
