Yes, the plug cover pushes on and makes a click. What could that indicate?
I will try the gas cap trick, and no I have not take the valve cover off and checked clearances. I just thought that would be something that would make the engine not work regularly, not run fine for 1 minute then hardly run at all for 5 minutes, then repeat.
Thanks so much for your tips.I will check the clearances, if that could cause the symptoms.

Hi all! New to the forum. My wife owns a Lance Cali Classic 125 with 9,500 miles, regular oil changes and all.
She ran super well with no problems up to now, even sub 40deg F. Then just like that it started shutting down on the road at an idle, and then would sputter and not react when increasing throttle, then it would magically work and burn rubber down the road then start to sputter again and die.
I thought it might be fuel related so I changed the usual suspects fuel filter, plug, ran Sea Foam in the gas and then swapped out with new gas. This seemed to make it worse. My next guess is a gummed up carb or blocked jets. Are there any other suspects I should try.
See my video for how it runs
